Western liberalism major threat against Islamic nation

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking at a meeting of the guests to 37^th Islamic Unity Conference with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and said this edition of the international conference is held as a new world order is being established across the globe, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” As we can see a secular and anti-religion lifestyle has turned into a trend in some Islamic countries.”

Top cleric noted that among the characteristics of this lifestyle is lack of commitment to religious laws.

According to the scholar, quite different from the first group is another group of people who live perform religious rituals, supervise their children and bring up a Muslim generation.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari said,” Promotion of secularism is a threat for the society; therefore, the mission of scholars in guiding the people is quite heavy.”

Participants to the 37^th Islamic Unity Conference met with Iran’s Foreign Minister as part of their official meetings held on the sideline of the conference.

The 37^th Islamic Unity Conference, with the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values” was has been scheduled to be held on September 28- October 2^nd. More than 230 Shia and Sunni scholars attended the conference in person. Over 260 prominent religious figures and intellectuals also attended the online section of the conference in 17 webinars held on September 28-30.
