Iranian scholar: One of main values that Islam emphasizes is unity

And in Him we seek help, for He is the best helper and Assistant
I welcome and endear the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference, Islamic cooperation to achieve common values and the presence of intellectuals and elites of the Islamic world and the presentation of valuable opinions of all dear ones. I honor this presence and welcome it. I congratulate all you dear ones on the advent of the blessed week of unity and on the birth of the savior of mankind, Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), and also on the auspicious and blessed birth of his departed son, Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH). On cooperation and Islamic unity to achieve common values, God Almighty says in verse 10 of Surah Hujurat of Holy Quran, " The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy." Believers are brothers in the sight of God, the Blessed and Exalted, so be a mirror of peace between your brothers and fear God, perhaps you will find mercy. The verse emphasizes the unity and solidarity of Muslims and encourages and urges us to seek peace and reform and relations among ourselves. This interaction and cooperation among Muslims help to achieve God's mercy and blessings. To achieve common values, we Muslims today, need cooperation, solidarity, peace and Islamic relations and cooperation and interaction among each other. One of the main values that Islam emphasizes is unity. Unity in Islam is the basis of interaction and cooperation in the world. Dear Sirs, Islam asks us to turn our disputes, discords and differences into a way of reconciliation. Today, one of the biggest challenges in the world is poverty and inequality. Islam mandates us to solve the problems through cooperation and interaction; Holy Quran says, “Cooperate with one another in goodness and righteousness." Islamic cooperation may include measures such as helping the Islamic countries and providing humanitarian aid in critical areas and supporting economic development programs with regards to the biodiversity and cultural and linguistic diversity of Muslims throughout the world. As far as cooperation in the field of culture and education is concerned, it may be very vital. Exchange of knowledge and experiences in scientific, literary, artistic and social fields can lead to greater understanding and empathy between Muslims and improve relations between nations and ethnic groups.
Islamic cooperation in political and social fields can play an important role in solving regional crises and conflicts. My dears, establishing peace, establishing democracy and protecting human rights are among the goals that can be achieved through interaction and Islamic cooperation has been achieved in the world. At the end of my speech, I want to emphasize that to achieve common values, Islamic cooperation requires the commitment and empathy of we Muslims, and we must know and you must know that with community, unity and cooperation in the Islamic world, we can achieve Islamic realities. and to approach its values in the humane world. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all of you, dear audience, for your presence. I hope that with joint efforts, Islamic cooperation will achieve more and stronger common values towards the common goal. God willing, we will be successful and victorious.
