Tehran conference discusses role of media in promoting rites

The University of Islamic Republic of Iran’s Broadcasting (IRIB) has held conference on relation between religious ceremonies and media.

Director of the IRIB University, Shahab Esfandiari, in this ceremony said no one is authorized to bring any change in the Islamic rites, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said the acceptability of changes to religious ceremonies lies upon popular approval of that as the Iranian people dismissed endeavors by former Pahlavi regime to change the Islamic rites.
 
Esfandiary referred to a limited secular movement in pursuit of changing the Islamic ceremonies in Iran and that their efforts will be to no avail.
 
He said that the conference will mark 24 articles on this topic in two days of the meeting.
 
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, was lauded in part of the ceremony due to his active role in line with the topic of the conference role of the media in promoting rites.
