Turkish official stresses necessity of Tehran-Ankara mutual coop

Directorate of Turkey’s Religious Affairs highlighted common cultural and civil backgrounds as reason for mutual cooperation between Iran and Turkey.

Ali Erbas in a meeting with Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought held on the sideline of the 18th international Muslim Forum in Moscow highlighted the cultural and religious commonalities between Iran and Turkey expressing hope for expansion of mutual cooperation between Tehran and Ankara, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to a previous visit by Turkish delegation to Iran and noted the common backgrounds between Iran and Turkey as the grounds for continuation of Iran-Turkey cooperation.
 
Iranian top cleric also said that World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is in pursuit of ways for expansion of cooperation with scholars and religious elites across the world of Islam.
 
He said,”  COVID-19 hindered the meetings between scholars though an end to the pandemic infection makes it possible for resumption of visits and exchange of views between religious figures.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari invited the Turkish delegation to visit Iran voicing preparation of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought to follow joint solutions on issues challenging the world of Islam.
 
Russian capital Moscow hosted prominent Shia and Sunni figures to the 18th international Muslim Forum held on “Justice and moderation: divine principles of world order” on December 7-9, 2022.
