Iran's al-Mustafa University:

Desecration of Prophet Mohammad, clear violation of world peace

Reprinting of sacrilegious cartoons of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by French magazine and French President's support of the move under the pretext of "freedom of expression" proves the anti-Islamic tendencies in perpetrators and spread of division and hatred among religions.
Desecration of Prophet Mohammad, clear violation of world peace
Iran's prestigious Islamic academy, al-Mustafa International University has issued a message on Monday to condemn French President Emmanuel Macron for his disrespect of Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The university, in part of its message, slammed the anti-Islamic comments by French President for hurting the feelings of world Muslims and said," Reprinting of sacrilegious cartoons of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by French magazine and French President's support of the move under the pretext of "freedom of expression" proves the anti-Islamic tendencies in perpetrators and spread of division and hatred among religions."

It stressed that, "A draft submitted to French Parliament to restrict religious activities by Muslims in the country and also anti-Hijab laws will intensify the situation and counts for another unacceptable measure by French government in ignoring ten million Muslims living in the country."

"Covered and uncovered interference of global Zionism in planning and practicing the plot should not go unnoticed" read another part of the message stressing that the efforts for normalization of ties with Israeli regime should be interpreted in the same line.

Iran's international academy in its statement reiterated that such irrespective moves cannot tarnish the image of Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

It rejected any sacrilege of religious sanctities for going against teachings of sacred religions and respect for followers of other faiths as well as respectable cooperation with other schools of thought.

Al Mustafa University called on the international organizations and Islamic institutes to react against French government and prevent similar such behaviors that are in clear breach of world peace, coexistence and respect for followers of other religions.
