Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought related on the role of General Qassem Soleimani in boosting Islamic unity and foiling the plots targeting solidarity among Muslims.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in an interview with Iran Press, hailed the "unparalleled role" played by Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in boosting Islamic unity among the different Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric praised the assassinated commander of IRGC for pursuing Islamic unity both in ideological and practical aspects of the objective.
 
He said," General Soleimani deeply believed in Islamic unity and was fully aware of the struggles by the arrogant powers for ruling the world."
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Soleimani in his interview conducted in the wake of the first martyrdom anniversary of the prominent counter-terrorism commander of Iran's IRGC Quds Force warned of efforts to disperse Muslims and spark sectarian wars among Muslims."
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought noted," General Soleimani was fully aware of the enemies and their plots; therefore, he showed his deep belief in Islamic unity in practice, won the trust of the different denominations in every battle field he fought and foiled plots to disperse Muslims."
 
The cleric referred to the different instances of General Soleimani efforts to settle the disagreement between Kurdish groups, Sunni communities and different Islamic denominations and establish a unified front, the resistance front in the best way possible.
 
"His deep belief in Islamic unity was the key reason in his great achievement, prevailing security across the entire region" said Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari.
 
General Qassem Soleimani, globally known over his fight against terrorism, was assassinated together with his companions by US drone attack in early January 2020.
