Speaker of Lebanese Parliament

No Arab could abolish the Arabism of anyone

TNA - Beirut
No Arab could abolish the Arabism of anyone
Speaker of Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri said "No Arab could abolish the Arabism of anyone, then how would that be if it is Syria, the beating heart of Arabism."

In statements to Lebanese Al Joumhouria Newspaper, Berri said that the decision taken by the AL against Syria could be revised and the opportunities are still available for that.

In a similar context, Lebanese Foreign and Expatriates Minister Adnan Mansour described the Syrian call for holding an emergency summit to follow up the situation in Syria as a constructive step, underlining the importance of responding to it.

In a statement to Lebanese As-Safir Newspaper issued on Monday, the Lebanese Minister considered that Syria has proved through the call that it has not broken the thin thread with the Arab League (AL), as it also has proved its good intention and desire for coordinating with the AL to find a complete and beneficial solution for the crisis.

He underlined that his stance at the AL expresses his country's stance not his own, pointing out that he was in contact with the Lebanese officials all the time.

In His turn, Lebanese Minister of State for Administrative Affairs Mohammad Fneish expressed regret on Arab League's decision to suspend Syria's participation.
"He who wishes good for Syria and its people does not impose embargo nor does he hinder proposed reforms," he said during a celebration for the Hezbollah Martyr Day the Imam Khomeini Culture Center held.

Also, Fneish criticized U.S. blatant interference and sabotage attempts as well as unawareness of reform and democracy in Syria.
