Head of the Iraqi Sunni scholar’s Union said God Almighty has called to cling to the rope of Allah and any gap in the unity of ummah is damage to the Islamic nation.

Shaikh Kahlid al-Mulla, in his speech addressing the general assembly of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference held in the Iranian capital on Monday morning highlighted commonalities of all Islamic denominations and said to create any gap in the Islamic nation mounts to treachery to the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He called on the Muslim intellectuals to study and discuss ways to confront enemies, reasons for disagreement and lead the younger generation to the right path.
 
He referred to a move by Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi at the UN General Assembly to raise a copy of holy Qur’an and noted the move meant our future and survival is guaranteed by this holy book which has been desecrated by western countries.
Top scholar addressed the participants to the general assembly of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference held on Monday morning.
 
More than 230 Shia and Sunni scholars, religious figures and representatives from different Islamic countries are attending this edition of the annual Islamic Unity Conference.
 
More than 260 Shia and Sunni scholars from across the globe also participated the online meetings of event held on 28-30 September.
 
The 37th International Islamic Unity Conference with the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values” is underway in the Iranian capital Tehran.
