“Sheikh Badri Khalfollah”, professor at Ez-Zitouna University, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted on the sidelines of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference noted that Muslims should live in unity in a bid to prevent future problems.

The prayer leader of Palermo in Italy said that if Muslims do not unite, they will face numerous problems in the future.

Pointing out the instance of Qur’an desecration, he called on Muslims to defend their religion and holy book and added: “We all refuse such actions; therefore, we must work to explain our holy book and follow its recommendations in order to be stronger.”

“Our Christian brothers in Italy have also rejected the desecration of holy Qur’an in Denmark” he said and hailed the unity of Muslims and Christians in Italy as Pope Francis has called for.

Tunisian expert concluded that a set of laws should be jointly passed by Muslims from all denominations in order to defend Islamic sanctities.

The prayer leader of Palermo expressed his view to TNA on the sideline of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference recently held in Tehran.
