“Human dignity the basic strategy of Islam”, Iranian cleric

Hojjatolislam val moslemin “Mohammad Salar”, director of the International Institute of Sciences and Education of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in Qom, in his speech at the webinar of 37th International Islamic Unity Conference, noted that fighting against oppression and arrogance is noble goals of the mission of divine prophets, reported Taghrib News Agency (TNA).

“All recommendations and glorification and honoring of ethics and moral dignity show that if ethics do not rule in society, justice will not be established and if we institutionalize ethics, the ground for establishing justice, peace, friendship, brotherhood and correct and constructive human relations will be provided”, he said.

“One of the secrets of the Holy Prophet's success in attracting others and the rapid spread of Islam and the swift and strong tendency of everyone towards the life-giving school of Islam was the kind disposition, generous behavior and good company of the great Prophet”, Salar added.

Noting that the Prophet gathered the divided and scattered Arab society with Islamic brotherhood on the axis of monotheism and godliness, he said: “in the life of the Prophet, violence and coercion have never been observed in accepting religion, even he rejected the proposal of some Muslims regarding the obligation of their children to accept Islam.”

“The enemies of Islam attribute unfair slanders to the Prophet of Islam and unjustly accuse Islam of seeking violence. It is important to mention that the holy religion of Islam has always emphasized and adhered to respecting human values and preserving human dignity in inevitable wars”, he added.

The Iranian cleric noted that human dignity is the basic strategy of Islam to maintain respect for the rights of others.

“The enemies of Islam and global arrogance are working to create division and discord in Islamic societies by using all kinds of propagandistic and media tactics, and desecrating and insulting the Holy Qur'an and the Prophet and the sacred values of our Islam", he continued.

Pointing out two types of infiltration by the enemy that Imam Ali (AS) warned about them, he added: “one is physical infiltration by the enemy through geographical boundaries, and the other is completely covert and implicit infiltration which occurs through intellectual and ideological boundaries.”

“In physical influence, a person sees the influence of the enemy openly and explicitly and observes it clearly with his eyes and gaze, and the danger of this enemy is very clear”, Mohamad Salar noted.

“In the secret influence of the enemy, since he has placed himself as a sympathizer and accomplice and entered through benevolence and sympathy, it is more difficult to recognize this enemy and his danger is much greater”, he clarified.

He considered such enemies as one of our basic problems and dangers and noted what Imam Ali (AS) said: “Beware of an enemy that entered the breasts secretly and breathed into the ears secretly to avoid that enemy that secretly infiltrates the hearts and it whispers softly in the ears.”

“Today, the greatest religious and national duty of Islamic societies, especially the committed and caring scholars of Islamic countries, is to protect the Islamic world and prevent the creation of tension, discord, and rift, and to recommend and emphasize the realization of Islamic unity and brotherhood”, Salar noted.

“Human honor and dignity require us to stand on our own feet and not be attached to foreigners because trusting and relying on others who always chant the colonialist slogan of “Divide and conquer “or let’s say “divide and rule,” will never show compassion for”, Mohammad Salar concluded.
