A prominent Afghan cleric has called on the world Muslims to move beyond Islamic unity based on their shared assets holy Qur’an, Hajj and Ahlul Bayt.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Hamed Mousavi Tabar, Director of Hekmat Afghanistan Cultural Institute from Afghanistan in his speech at the seventh webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference to move towards empathy as a step beyond unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the history of conflicts between different Islamic denominations throughout the history of Islam and those challenging Muslim world at present.
 
He condemned the world arrogant powers for masterminding the Takfiri (excommunication) groups as a plague to indiscriminately damage Muslims from all denominations.
 
He referred to Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Yemen as examples suffering the most from mobilization of takfirist terrorists.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Hamed Mousavi Tabar said,” Today, it is necessary for us to move beyond unity and move towards empathy.”
 
He noted that the sympathy between the Shia and Sunni Muslims should eventually lead to cooperation and common values.
 
Top Afghan cleric counted Hajj, Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and holy Qur’an as grounds based on which Muslims can boost their solidarity and said,” A clear example of empathy is during Arbaeen,40th day after martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), when millions of Shiites and Sunnis participate in the mourning processions.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Hamed Mousavi Tabar expressed his views in an address to a number of Muslim elites and religious figures in a webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.
 
The 37th Islamic Unity Conference is underway in the capital Tehran as a number of Shia and Sunni scholars attend the webinars and the meeting to be held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought. This year the elites and religious figures attending the event discuss the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values”.  The conference is held on 28th September to 3rd concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
