A Muslim thinker from Afghanistan has highlighted the capacity of media and cyber space for promoting Islamic values and boost solidarity among Muslims.

Halimeh Hosseini, physician and activist from Afghanistan in her speech at the webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference said the media and cyber space capacities should be used to promote the culture of patience, tolerance and other Islamic values, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
She stressed avoiding any form of desecration and promoting tolerance will eventually lead us to coexistence and peaceful life.
 
She said,” It is in the light of security and mutual respect that we can achive the unity that the entire world of Islam pursues.”
 
Afghan elite noted that the different Islamic denominations need to reach a common discourse where sets mutual respect and abandoning desecration as its principles.
 
She warned of division, divergence and hatred that lead to promotion of violence and misunderstanding.
 
Afghan thinker made the remarks in an online meeting of the Muslim thinkers attending the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.
 
Held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Muslim scholars and religious figures from across the globe exchanged views on the issues challenging the world of Islam in the 37th Islamic Unity Conference (IUC). Participants also discussed the theme of this meeting “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values.” The event is the climax of the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
