Muslim scholar calls for closure of ways leading to disunion
Mufti Shibli Ghasemi, addressing the sixth webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference urged world Muslims to endeavor for living like one nation through cooperation and expansion of solidarity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He called for elimination of the prejudices that might highlight differences between the different Islamic denominations.

He noted that the call for unity does not stand for a change of one’s denomination rather to open the grounds for further solidarity among Muslims with different faiths.
The Indian scholar blamed Muslims for bringing division into the Islamic society and said,” We were the ones who created the differences and then we stood on the differences, while we were actually standing on the points of unity. But unfortunately, we stood on misguidance, hypocrisy and division.”

He said the members of a united body share the sufferings and happiness of the other members and called on all Muslims across the globe to be cautious on the conditions other Muslims are living in.

He vowed endeavors and cooperation by the Indian Sharia Council for materializing solidarity.
