Haj Ammar Kazem Abdul Hussein Mohammad, in his speech addressing the fourth webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference slammed the rulers who exploit religions as a tool to tear apart nations and also those individuals that hire religions to cover up their despotism, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He related on importance of unity within the Islamic society as one of the important values referred to in holy Qur’an.
 
Kuwaiti scholar reiterated the necessity of solidarity among Muslims particularly amid what he called the “shaky position” in the world of Islam.
 
Haj Ammar Kazem Abdul Hussein Mohammad noted that once religious values find their right position in hearts and minds of members of society, they will be led to the highest possible levels of unity and solidarity, making them so powerful to pass all barriers of discord and differences.
 
According to the scholar diversity of views and opinions does not necessarily lead to discord and hostility, rather, they might motivate further work and efforts and said,” Diversity of views may encourage positive and constructive scientific competitions and provide a good opportunity for engagement of different social groups.”
 
The scholar referred to the materialistic and spiritual areas as two instances that man might be in need of assistance from other people and said one should establish and promote relationship with other people in order to guarantee his interests in these two areas.
 
He said,” A society is integrated that is governed by friendship, passion and brotherhood, and all its members have constructive cooperation with each other.
 
Haj Ammar Kazem Abdul Hussein Mohammad addressed the webinar held on the first day of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.
 
The 37th International Islamic Unity Conference has been scheduled to convene Shia and Sunni elites and religious figures on 28th September to 3rd October 2023. As organized by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, this year the meeting focuses on the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values.” The event is annually held concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
