Afghan professor stresses:

All Muslims should cooperate to revive common Islamic values

An Afghan university professor has underlined necessity of cooperation among all Muslims to revive the Islamic values.
All Muslims should cooperate to revive common Islamic values
Dr. Abdulbari Rashed, addressing the webinar on the first day of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference said faith in the Almighty God as the first and most enhanced value for all Muslims calling on different walks of life to join hands and contribute for revival of the values in Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He counted the Holy Quran, Kaaba, the beloved Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), the Ahl al-Bayt, and the companions of the Holy Prophet of Islam as part of the set of values that are completely shared by all the Islamic Ummah.

Dr. Rashed noted the material commonalities, territory and economic interests among other shared assets in the world of Islam.

He said the addressees of the conference to be in four groups: governments that rule over the fate of the Islamic Ummah, Islamic nations, religious leaders in the Islamic world and also reformers and revolutionary figures among Muslims.
The Afghan thinker also referred to the ways to encourage Islamic cooperation in order to revive common Islamic values as:
  • Reformers and revolutionary figures should invite the entire Islamic Ummah towards religious and political awakening.
Second, all those who claim to be the advocates of Islamic unity should do their best in this regard.
All the pioneers of unity in the Islamic Ummah should explain the spirit of Islam as accurately as possible for the Islamic Ummah and the whole humanity.

Dr. Abdulbari Rashed continued the essence of the message of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is based on four fundamental principles: inviting people towards the almighty God, developing piety in the Islamic Ummah, promoting Islamic values and dealing with the issues related to logic and wisdom.

He concluded that the mission to revive Islamic values is a duty upon all Muslim scholars and every Muslim individual.

The remarks by prominent Afghan professor came in the webinar on the first day of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference on Thursday September 28.
Held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Muslim scholars and religious figures from across the globe exchanged views on the issues challenging the world of Islam in the 37th Islamic Unity Conference (IUC). Participants also discussed the theme of this meeting “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values.” The event is the climax of the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
