Dr. Masoud Jamal Khanzadeh, director of Bazm Forough Ensaniyat Institute, in his address to the fifth webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference underlined importance of Islamic solidarity as the biggest common value for all Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” We need to work on the issue and set it as the pivot.”
 
The senior scholar hailed the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini for the inspiration to call the week coinciding with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as the Islamic Unity Week.
 
He noted that solidarity in the Islamic ummah should be taken as a common axis and quoted the prominent Pakistani poet Allameh Iqbal saying, “All should be one to guard the Haram (shrine) from the banks of the Nile to Kashgar.”
 
The comments by the top Pakistani thinker came in the fifth webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.
 
The 37th International Islamic Unity Conference has been scheduled to convene Shia and Sunni elites and religious figures on 28th September to 3rd October 2023. As organized by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, this year the meeting focuses on the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values.” The event is annually held concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
