"Religion of Peace and Dialogue, not Violence and Extremism", Indian Activist
An Indian Islamic activist stressed that Islam is not the religion of extremism as depicted in some western media but it is the religion of peace and brotherhood.

Mohammed Ali Patankar, Director of Islamic Institute of Mumbai,
in his speech at the webinar of 37th International Islamic Unity Conference, noted that some western media are making their maximum effort to introduce Islam as the religion of terrorism and extremism and violence, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Patankar highlighted that despite difference in language, skin color and schools of thought, we Muslims must remember that our God, our Holy book, our Qibla, our Prophet, and our religion are one. So, we must put aside our differences and create unity among ourselves and be an example for the world in establishing brotherhood.
He added: " We can introduce ourselves to the world as a single nation and stand in front of Imperialistic powers".
The Indian activist noted that lots of efforts are made in the mainstream media to give negative and distorted image of Islam and are trying to introduce this religion as the religion of terrorism and extremism and violence, while it is not true at all. We should make our maximum efforts to reflect the true image of Islam among different countries of the world.
"let's make a deal together and convey the message of Islam to the whole world that Islam is a religion of peace and security, not a religion of violence and terrorism", he concluded.
