Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib, deputy head of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine has urged for obstructing the flag march to be staged by Jewish settlers.

In press remarks on Wednesday, Sheikh Khatib warned that the Aqsa Mosque would be exposed to renewed provocations by Jewish settlers on Thursday, adding that the Israeli flag march is aimed at perpetuating an alleged Jewish right to the holy city.
 
He affirmed that the Aqsa Mosque would certainly remain an Islamic holy site, calling on the Palestinian masses to march en masse to the Aqsa Mosque to protect it against any desecration by Jewish settlers.
 
The flag march is a racist nationalistic and state-sponsored demonstration by Jewish settlers in the occupied Jerusalem held on the anniversary of the day the holy city was captured by Israeli forces back in 1967.
