“Islamic unity is a necessity for Muslim world.”

A senior Iranian jurisprudent highlighted necessity of solidarity among Muslims and referred to the concerns of the arrogant powers over Islamic unity.

Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, Iranian Shia jurisprudent attended inauguration ceremony of Molal Movahedin Seminary in Shiraz, Fars Province and stressed the role of clerics in defending Islam as well as the importance of expanding seminaries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the high stance of science and teachers in Islam saying no other school or religion has ever marked learning as Islam does.

Professor at renowned Qom Seminary said there is no end for science and called that a true believer will never stop looking for.
In another part of his speech, grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi praised the closeness of this Shia seminary with a Sunni seminary and called that as an opportunity for more unity among Islamic denominations.

He said,” Neighborhood of Shia Seminary of Molal Movahedin and Sunni Mosque of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) indicates the unity among Shia and Sunni communities and we have announced that the doors of this new seminary are always open to them.”

He rejected any confrontation between Shia and Sunni brothers and that the important objective of all is a full unity between Shia and Sunni across the world.

“Shia and Sunni, arm in arm, can stand against world colonial powers.” He said and added,” When the enemies are leading their warmongering policies in the world, Islamic unity is an important necessity.”

Prominent Iranian jurisprudent reiterated the importance of Islamic unity and said,” Sunni Muslims are quite different from a minor community of Wahhabi excommunicators who are pursuing ways to misrepresent Muslim world.”
