Thousands of people in the holy city of Qom have held a march to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), the first Shia Imam and Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) son-in-law.

World's Shias particularly Iranians across the country mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on the last day of the mourning month of Safar.

Concurrent with the third martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, art exhibition “Persian Cedar” was held in the capital Tehran with the theme of the Iran’s counter-terrorism commander of Quds Forces assassinated by the US forces on January 3, 2020.

Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, officials as well as religious and political figures attended the ceremony commemorating the third martyrdom anniversary of top counter-terrorism commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in the capital Tehran on Tuesday.

Today coincides with the martyrdom of Imam Reza (AS), the 8th Shia Imam. The following report briefly reviews the life of Imam (AS) from birth to martyrdom.
