Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called late Imam Khomeini (RA) as flag bearer of unity in the Islamic society stressing that the rhetoric of Takfir (excommunication) should be eliminated from the world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, meeting with a group of Pakistani scholars, marked the 44^th anniversary of Islamic Revolution in Iran hailing the late leader Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) as the flag bearer of unity in the region condemning enemies who are in pursuit of dividing Shia from Sunni, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” Enemies are also struggling to sow discord within Shia and Sunni communities” and added,” We believe that the rhetoric of Takfir should be eliminated from the Islamic society.”
 
The cleric noted,” Islam stresses reconciliation even with the non-hostile atheists and that means coexistence with followers of all religions. This is the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari said,” Imam Khomeini (RA) founded Islamic Revolution on unity both among Iranian nation and in Islamic society as well as among world oppressed people.”
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought referred to firm belief in holy Qur’an as the commonality between the school of Imam Khomeini (RA) and that of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the counter-terrorism commander of IRGC Quds Forces.
 
“General Soleimani proved to the world that we can stand against arrogant powers” said the senior cleric and added,” General Soleimani broke the fake dignity of these powers.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari made the comments in a meeting with a group of visiting Pakistani clerics on the eve of the 44^th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
