Representative of the Supreme Leader in Kurdistan hailed the Iranian western province capable of providing grounds for unity among Muslims and different ethnicities.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Pourzahabi in his remarks at the first regional Islamic unity conference held in the city of Sanandaj on Wednesday called Kurdistan as the land of science, culture and arts which is potential to make the grounds for solidarity among all Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He hailed Kurdisatn region as the land of “silent struggles”, homeland to thousands of martyrs and cradle for prominent clerics.
 
Top cleric hailed the first regional Islamic unity conference held by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in line with annual Islamic unity conference and said such meetings can boost the major international event held concurrent with birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
 
Hundreds of Shia and Sunni scholars and elites from Iran and Iraq attended the first regional Islamic unity conference underway in Kurdistan.
 
The meeting is held in line with promoting involvement of the Shia and Sunni clerics in the annual Islamic Unity Conference.
