Five worshipers have been wounded as a young man attacked people with knife in Dine Hoxha mosque in the Albania capital of Tirana, local police has reported.

Rudolf Nikolli, 34, attacked worshippers in Dine Hoxha Mosque in downtown Tirana on Monday and injured five prayers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
A police investigation has been immediately launched into the case and the attacker is in police custody.
 
Rudolf Nikolli has been suffering depression since last year, according to his father .
 
The five wounded are all young men between 22-35 years old and none are in critical condition.
 
The 2.8 million people in Albania are predominantly Muslims and Christians make the minority group in the European country.
