Kamal Halbavi former senior member of Muslim Brotherhood in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) highlighted the prime importance of rapprochement in the World of Islam counting the area as a fundamental step should be taken for securing unity in the World of Islam
The religious thinker beckoned to the fallouts of Takfiri thoughts among Muslims stressing, “the seditious thoughts should be uprooted and Takfiri groups should be purged form Islamic society.”
To this end, according to Halbavi, “religious clerics should sit at talks in the area of unity and through opening rapprochement dialogue provide the ground for securing Islamic unity in the World of Islam.”
Former senior member of Muslim Brotherhood went on to place stress on the factor of ignorance among Muslims which sit behind current setbacks Muslims nations are mired in.
The religious elite place emphasis on the necessity of political conversion among Islamic countries noting, “given the past changed and regarding the present vandalism and violence against Muslims, it is incumbent upon us to counter terrorism.
Halbavi attended recently in the international conference on 'Fight against Takfirism' wound up on Thursday in Qom.
The event was held in the presence of a group of Shia and Sunni ulema from 25 foreign countries along with some domestic scientific and cultural figures.
A number of senior Ulema such as Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi and Jafar Sobhani and Supreme Leader's bureau chief Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Golpaygani, Head of the Strategic Center at the Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati along with some other clerics attended the meeting.
