Media belongs to the public and it should be able to win public confidence through fulfilling its professional commitments for efficiency in all arenas.
 
Fair Criticism and Accountability sounds a proper theme for press and media exhibition because these are the two necessary features for the responsible media. Basically clear noticing, providing timely information and accountability should be set as the basis for the media in any country with any strategy. Media belongs to the public and it should be able to achieve public confidence through fulfilling its professional commitments for efficiency in all arenas.
 
Not long ago journalism used to be a limited activity with limited number of experts. The literate were not among the majority of the people. In the same line those who followed the papers were a minority among the minor literate. This is while at present the range of media and news agencies, particularly those addressing the public, specialized ones, digital versions and other means of the media have grown to a great extent, expanding their inclusion and influence to the point that the role of media in daily life is undeniable same way that interactions, communications and distribution of the information is impossible had it not been for the media.
 
The least achievement by the annual exhibition of press and news agencies (in Tehran) should be to introduce the different media with capabilities, innovative moves and assets of each other in a face to face gathering as well as investigation into the functions and increasing interaction with different walks of life particularly in the expert level. We hope that the constructive achievements of such exhibitions will lead to deepening of the friendly ties and extending the interactions among media and more important than that the media (as an asset) bring more pride by respecting the honor of the people, achieving the confidence of the people and safeguarding the national interests of the country in the long run.
 
It is a fact that the majority of international media are dominated and influenced by the super powers taking steps in line with safeguarding and promoting their interests. Unfortunately this domineering policy has also plagued many other media and news agencies across the world of Islam. Timely analysis, understanding a certain situations, increasing the capabilities and efficient use of the public confidence (both domestic and international) to inform the people with capabilities, responsibilities and demands is an effort which can be assessed as the next efficient step in line with realization of the mission by an Iranian and Islamic media in national and international arena.
