Tens of thousands of British people from across the country attended a large demonstration against David Cameron’s economical and political programs, in central London.

According to Taghrib’s reporter (TANA) in London, tens of thousands of people and various sectors of the British society from all over the country have gathered in Central London, where is the home to the largest international banks; to protest against the government’s austerity policies.

The demonstrators gathered in front of the Bank of England‘s building since morning. After several political figures and members of the British Labour unions gave their speeches, the protesters moved towards the Parliament Square.
Despite the previous announcements, which stated that, the demonstration begins at 12 am; due to a large number of participants, the march began with an hour delay.

The demonstrators that are believed to be around one hundred thousand, were holding signs, banners and various images, and were calling for an end to the austerity programmes.

A number of MPs from the opposition parties also joined the demonstrators, and each announced their objections to the austerity policies during the speech in front of the Parliament.
They also noted that over the past decade, by approving military policies and intervening in the Middle East wars as well as other parts of the world in particular Afghanistan, the Conservative and the previous governments, not only have imposed enormous costs to people in Britain but also caused the death of innocent people in some of the poorest countries in the world.

The speakers and protesters also called for an end to nuclear submarine system’s replacement programme which is said it will allocate more than a hundred billion pounds of public funds.

David Cameron’s oppositions believe that there is no reason to accept a programme of endless economic austerity and they will do anything to defeat it.

The speakers stated this is a clear message from the Britain’s nation, that if Cameron’s government does not revise its policies, the objections will get wider every day and will turn into a public movement against the Conservative government.

The demonstrators announced their future plans for organising national demonstrations and meetings across the UK.
According to Taghrib’s reporter, the next demonstration is to be held on 8th July; same time as (the emergency budget proposal???) to the Parliament by George Osborne, the Britain’s Finance Minister.
On this day, the opposition groups from across the UK will march all at the same time.
