Specialized Course on Quran Memorization Underway in Qatar

Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has organized a specialized course on Quran memorization for the youth.

According to Al-Arab newspaper, the participants learn Quran memorization techniques and how to review the memorized verses in order to fix them in mind and not forget them.

The classes began on January 24 by the Holy Quran Section of the Religious Guidance Office of the ministry.

47 Qatari students are taking part in the classes, which will continue until February 5.

Besides Quran memorization, the participants also learn Tajweed principles in the course.

Training top Quran memorizers to represent the country in international Quran competitions in different parts of the world is the main objective of the course.
It is supervised by a number of Quran experts from Quran memorization centers of the Persian Gulf country.
