Top Iranian scholar met with representative of the Islamic Republic in Pakistan stressing Islamic proximity as a popular demand of the people across the globe.

Grand Aytaollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, met with Mahdi Honardoust, new Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, discussing the statuesque in the neighboring country as well as Islamic unity and proximity of the Islamic schools of thought, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
 The cleric highlighted Islamic proximity as a popular demand of the Muslims across the globe and said,” Even those who had marginalized proximity, are paying special attention to the issue.”
 
He noted,” Unfortunately sectarian wars have been intensified during the past years though the present crises have set Islamic proximity as a necessity.”
 
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought was launched in the beginning years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran to focus on strengthening the ties between different Islamic denominations and the issues of Muslim world.
