"The first conference on the Muslims Countries’ Science and Technology Development is to be mounted in Iran Capital City of Tehran on the sideline of the the 29th Islamic Unity Conference," underscored Deputy Executive at the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Mohammad Reza Golrou, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Speaking in a press briefing on Wednesday, the Conference Secretary, Mohammad Reza Golrou told the reporters that this year, Iran top unity center is about to hold the 1st Conference on Muslims’ Countries Science and Technology Development.

According to him, the confernce on Science and Technology Development is to be held in Tehran from December 27-29.

Placing stress on the experience of organizing 27 annual conferences by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in past years, Golrou pointed out, "two years ago the forum made the decision to invite all parts of Muslim societies to join the conference."

Referring to unveiling the first Islamic brand in this conference which will be held along with the unity Conference, he further explained, "the event is primarily aimed to share Iran’s achievements in science and technology and to bolster ties among the Muslim countries."

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that some 40 scientists from 40 Muslim countries are expected to attend the conference in which five expertise committees will lead the discussions in the area of Export’s development, agriculture and food industry, Research and development, branding and aerospace.

The Islamic Unity Week (between 12-17th Rabiul Awwal) and the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) are annually celebrated by all Muslims around the globe.

Coincided with the Islamic Unity Week, the 29th International Islamic Unity Conference will be inaugurated at the Islamic Summit Hall in Tehran on Sunday, Dec. 27 with prominent religious clerics and thinkers in attendance.
