'West projects values upside down': Ayatollah Araki

“West has tried so much to project values upside down,” said Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.


 
Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought denounced west’s attempt for perpetrating crimes against humanity noting, “west has made an attempt to project values (religious values and code of ethics) upside down”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Making remarks among Dezfoul Quran activists, President of Iran top unity center slammed the West’s willful try for discrediting Islamic values and culture, penetrating as well into all cultural realms. To him, western countries try to make a distance between the society and Islamic takes and principles.
 

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought went on to point out, “the Islamic culture is the culture of cooperation and kindness.” In his term, “a society mired in violence and vandalism is an indication of western culture.”
 
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Araki extended his congratulations to Muslims on the birthday of one of the most inspiring religious figures for Shiite Muslims, Imam Reza (PBUH), delineating his telling role in promulgating the idea of Velayat.


In this regard, according to Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Muslims should not have dismissive attitude toward Islamic ordinance,
and to him, with rapturous devotion to their religious duties, Muslims should try their utmost to abide by what God commands.

Needless to say, the shrine of Ali ibn-e-Musa al Reza is visited by millions of people annually turning Mashhad into one of the biggest pilgrimage destinations in the world.
 

Illuminated streets and alleys in Mashhad are a welcome sign that lead the pilgrims to the Holy shrine. In addition to Iranian pilgrims Shiites from different parts of the world travel long distances to visit Imam Reza’s burial place in a unified celebration.
 
In Mashhad his name is everywhere from different works of art to flower stands. During the auspicious occasion the city of Mashhad turns into a place for special events and festivals dedicated to Imam Reza.
