Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Ali Qazi-Askar, the representative of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for Hajj and pilgrimage affairs in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) detailed his views on the internalized mechanisms for promoting the culture of proximity and expressed his lines over the stances taken for boosting unity in the World of Islam.
The religious cleric underscored the opportunity of using shared takes and principles among Muslims from different sects in the World of Islam stressing, "Holy book of Quran demands Muslims to get united against the tyrants, urging them as well to distance themselves from them".
The religious cleric urged Muslims to do their very utmost to boost unity and rapprochement placing emphasis on the following lines to this very end:
1. Taking inspiration from the Holy Qur'an practicing as well its teachings
2. Abiding by lifestyle of Muhammad Prophet (PBUH), his Household and infallible Imams
3. Practicing and making a move in this area by clerics and religious thinkers
4. Identifying the standing commonalities among Muslims and introducing them
5. Gaining wisdom and mutual understanding among Muslims
The representative of Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Hajj and pilgrimage affairs beckoned to the elevated role of religious clerics from all Islamic denominations and sect urging them to work in tandem.
Placing emphasis on the elevated role of unity in the World of Islam, Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Ali Qazi-Askar drew Muslims' attention to the following requirements for advancing the set objectives in the World of Islam.
1. Compiling the chart of unity for Islamic Ummah and abiding by its principles
2. Establishing International Islamic bodies like the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic School of Thoughts
3. Founding seminaries and academic center like Al-Mustafa International University and University of Islamic Sects
4. Countering ethnic prejudice and refraining from dispersion
5. Teaching Feqhi (jurisprudential) Principles and delineating them
6. Abiding by the codes of ethics in holding interfaith talks and dialogues
7. Enhancing spiritual capacities and tolerance
8. Referring to Holy Quran and Schools of Muhammad Prophet's (PBUH) school for sorting problems out
9. Respecting takes and taking the cognizance of civility in holding talks.
According to the representative of Leader of the Islamic Revolution for Hajj and pilgrimage affairs, through solidarity Muslim nations can promote their current living conditions paving the grounds to sort out their standing setbacks.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the religious cleric hailed the recent moves made by the Grand Imam of the al-Azhar Mosque, Egypt’s top Muslim authority, Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb and his call for a unity meeting of leading Sunni and Shia scholars.
Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Ali Qazi-Askar appreciated Egypt clerics for stressing on “coexistence and peace” between Shia and Sunni Muslims and urging Sunni scholars to issue a fatwa (religious decree) prohibiting the killing of Shia Muslims.
