Cleric rejects terror allegations against religions
Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, Head of the Hamburg Islamic Center, attending fourth Interfaith dialogue meeting held in the German city of Hamburg, slammed the recent terror attacks in Lebanon and France saying that an objective of such meetings is to focus on commonalities of all religions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the theme of kindness in view of Abrahamic religions, and said,” Certainly, it is a vain move to accuse religions with allegations of violence and terror attacks and all religions reject such brutal moves.”

Ayatollah Ramezani noted that kindness, affection to God Almighty and human beings, peace and friendship as the principles which are recommended in all religions and highlighted the struggles of all prophets to prevail security in societies.

He added,” At present, unfortunately, a group of people in the form of organized movements like Daesh, under the name of religion but in a bid to misrepresent the religions, are creating sectarian clashes and provide violent and horrible images of religion.”

He noted that these shameful activities are not in line with any divine or human law and are totally rejected in view of Islam.

Head of Hamburg Islamic Center noted,” Horrible crimes committed in Paris and other parts of the world under the name of Islam are slammed and it does not suffice to merely slam such crimes rather international bodies should take serious measures against these crimes.”

Iranian cleric demanded for investigations into the sources which support the terrorist groups.

The scholar stressed,” We are in clear contrast with those who promote violence under the name of religion because man is a divine being and to revive one man is to revive humanity same way that to kill one man is to kill the whole humanity.”
