US, colonial powers abhor peace and security in Muslim world

Sheikh Mohammad Nimr al-Zaghmout, head of the Palestinian Islamic Council in Lebanon, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) warned against Takfiri groups as a threat for the world of Islam rejecting any relation between the crimes committed by Takfiri terrorists and Islam.

He said,” At present Islam is challenging threat of Takfiri (excommunication) groups which distort Qur’anic teachings and lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) while their performance has no relation with the holy religion of Islam.”

He noted,” Islam bans bloodshed of the civilians, looting and defaming any Muslim who has voiced his declaration of Islam (Shahada), announced his monotheism and his belief in Qur’an.”

Palestinian authority rejected the illusions by Takfiri groups counting themselves as warriors of God and said,” Jihad (struggle in the path of God Almighty) is in two kinds and what the Muslim nation is doing in Palestine is a defensive struggle, to defend the Palestinian lands against possible threats while what Takfiri groups are doing in Syria and Iraq is the bloodshed, massacre and evacuation of Muslims from their lands with the help of the west and some Persian Gulf Arab states, same way they have done with the land and nation of Palestine.”

Head of the Islamic Council of Palestine stressed necessity of revealing the identity and nature of US-backed Takfiri groups launched by the Zionist regime and said,” We are now witnessing how Persian Gulf Arab states are wasting their wealth in support of the Takfiri groups for massacring Muslims in line with obeying the order of their American and Zionist leaders.”

Sheikh Mohammad Nimr al-Zaghmout stressed,” The main objective behind launching these groups and the west’s support for them is a new period of colonization of the Arab and Islamic countries and military occupation of these regions under the pretext of counter-terrorism campaign and eventually disintegration of these states same way that happened after World War II, known as Sykes-Picot Agreement.”

Sheikh Zaghmout called the Zionist regime as the only beneficiary side in Takfiri project due to its looting the assets of Muslims and launching massacre among them.

He slammed some Persian Gulf states for their multi-million dollar funds for supporting terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.

When asked if the world of Islam will be liberated from Takfiri threat and for the measures to be taken by nations following this liberation he said,” Western colonial powers, particularly the US, UK, France and Zionist regime undermine the security and peace in the Muslim world since chaos and the Greater Middle East, as proposed by former US secretary of state Condolizza Rice, is the objective they pursue through disintegration of the Islamic countries into ethnic, tribal and religious groups.

He also touched upon importance of Islamic proximity and said,” Islam is the same in all denominations and a minor disagreement on interpretation of Qur’an or in Fiq’h issues does not translate to excommunication though the religious coexistence which used to dominate the lives of Shia and Sunni communities in Iraq has discolored due to the intervention, occupation and sparking sectarian rift by the US.”

Palestinian figure warned that the US project is not confined to Iraq and that it has over flown to Syria, Yemen, Libya and Tunisia so that it sparks intrigue among different groups under the pretext of sectarian and ethnic clashes.

He stressed the role of Muslim clerics and not rulers to boost Islamic proximity criticizing the scholars who bow down to the whimsical commands of their rulers.
