Education explained in a statement issued on Tuesday that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression surged to more than 5,994, as those who were injured reached 9,890, while in the West Bank, 56 students were killed and 329 others were injured, adding that 105 students were detained.
The Ministry said in a statement, that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached to 5,213, and those who were injured reached 8,691, while in the West Bank, 47 students were killed and 294 others were injured, in addition to 94 arrests.
At least 3,141 Palestinian students have been killed and 45 schools shattered since Israeli escalation against the besieged Gaza Strip followed the October 7 Operation al-Aqsa Storm.
Located in the occupied Palestinian village of Jibb Al-Deeb in the outskirts of West Bank city of Bethlehem, the school is now open to its 45 students on the site of its former building, and began its school year with the Palestinian national anthem.
During the demonstration, students raised banners condemning all forms of violence and murder, including “Arab blood is not cheap,” “Yes, we bear responsibility and we face it responsibly,” and “The police are partners in crime.”
Palestinian Ministry of Education announced eight students have been martyred and a number of others wounded in Israel’s five days of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
