Palestinian father killed, three others wounded in separate West Bank incidents

Shadi Issa Galaita, 44, a father of three children, was killed by Israeli gunfire during a military raid.

Two Palestinian citizens were also injured by occupation forces’ bullets during a storming of Aqabat Jabr and Ain al-Sultan camps, south and north of the city of Jericho, the village of Al-Duyouk Al-Fawqa, and several neighborhoods in the city.

Health sources said that a boy in Aqabat Jabr camp was injured by a bullet in the chest. His injury was reported to be serious and he was taken to Ramallah Governmental Hospital where a second injury was also taken to.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians, including two women, were injured tonight by Israeli forces’ gunfire at Halhul Bridge, north of Hebron City.

Local media reported that the occupation forces stationed at Halhul Bridge fired live bullets directly at citizens’ vehicles, wounding two women, aged 63 and 30, in addition to a 19-year-old youth.

In south of Jenin also Israeli settlers, protected by the regime forces, prevented Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands in the town of Kafr Rai, south of Jenin.

The mayor of Kafr Rai, Walid Yahya, said that Israeli settlers seized Palestinian lands, prevented farmers from entering it and forced them to leave the area at gunpoint.

Yahya added that the occupation forces use drones to monitor the area in order to prevent Palestinians from entering their land under the protection of the occupation forces.

According to the local Palestinians, the occupation forces and settlers have escalated their aggressive attacks against Palestinian farmers and shepherds for the past months, preventing them from entering their lands.

Tensions are running high across the occupied West Bank since the Israeli regime has begun its genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip.
