Ayatollah Khamenei to lead Tehran Eid al-Fitr prayer

The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei will lead the upcoming Eid al-Fitr prayer in Imam Khomeini Grand Musalla.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Noori, from the executive secretariat of Eid al-Fitr prayer in Tehran said the experts’ committees and headquarters have been organized to manage the Eid al-Fitr prayer which is expected to be announced soon, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said the Eid al-Fitr prayer 2024 will be held with the motto of ‘Eid of Thralldom and Solidarity.’
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Noori added,” As we are witness to the brutal war by Israeli regime against the oppressed people in Palestine and in the wake of the martyrdom of the IRGC military advisors in Damascus, the Eid prayer will display our support for the resistance front and the oppressed people in Palestine.”
 
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar when Muslims observe fasting. They abstain from eating and drinking and worldly affairs from dawn to dusk. Qur’an recitation, prayer and doing charity activities are among the most recommended activities in this month.
