Leader condemns Israeli attack on Iranian Damascus embassy

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has condemned in strict terms the recent Israeli terrorist attack on Iranian consulate in Damascus that martyred seven IRGC members vowing response to the crime by the heinous regime.

The Leader stressed in a message issued on Tuesday that the heinous Israeli regime will be punished by the brave Iranian forces, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Ayatollah Khamenei said,” We will render them(Israeli authorities) and their allies, regretful of committing this crime.”
 
The Leader lauded the senior IRGC commander, Brigadier General Mohammadreza Zahedi, and his companions who were martyred in Monday attack for their struggle.
 
Seven members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) including the senior commander and his deputy were martyred in an Israeli missile strike targeting the consular section of Iranian embassy in Damascus.
 
The Israeli regime conducted the attack at approximately 17:00 pm local time from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights, the second of such attack targeting the Syrian capital in 24 hours.
