Israeli occupation forces have shot dead a Palestinian young man at a checkpoint in the south of Bethlehem amid the ongoing atrocities against the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to the Hebrew media, Israeli soldiers opened fire at the young man after they searched his bag and found a knife inside it.

The incident reportedly occurred near the Elazar intersection in Gush Etzion settlement bloc.

The young man was injured in his lower body, but he was left to bleed until he died.

Last Tuesday, a Palestinian young man was martyred after he injured two Shin Bet officers in a shooting operation in the same area.
