24th Iran Media Expo kicks off in Tehran

The major exhibition of the Iranian news agencies has officially kicked off in the capital Tehran on Sunday morning after six years of lapse.

Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, said more than 450 media outlets in attendance, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He expressed gratitude for the resumption of the annual media event and hailed the participants for their active participation in the 24th edition of Iran Media Expo.
 
News agencies, dailies, periodicals, magazines and social media platforms working in different fields from politics, trade and economy, environment, society, children, culture, literature and science are attending the 2th Iran Media Expo underway in Imam Khomeini Grand Musalla.
 
According to Mahdi Abdali, deputy of media and news agencies more than 1,700journalists and media activists from across the country attend the 24the Iran Media Expo.
 
Less than two weeks to the Parliamentary Election, the24th Iran Media Expo will also provide a platform for a number of the candidates to hold debates on the sideline of the event.
 
The issue of Palestine is promoted in this event with the pavilions allocated to the Iranian and international news agencies covering the developments on al-Quds and operation al-Aqsa Flood which is on its 134th day now.
 
With the motto “Never Have I Sought Anything but Truth” the 24th Iran Media Expo is underway on February 18-21.
