“Palestine issue, unifying topic in Muslim world”, cleric
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called the issue of Palestine as the unifying topic in the world of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking at the 18th edition of al-Aqsa webinar, condemned the Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip and called the war between the regime and Hamas resistance as a confrontation of the right and the void, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Organized by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the 18th edition of al-Aqsa webinar was attended by participants to the international conference on Al-Aqsa Storm and Awakening of Human Conscience held in Tehran on January 14.
The Iranian cleric hailed the perseverance and struggle of the Palestinians in Gaza Strip and said,” Operation al-Aqsa Storm was a response to the grudge held for years.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari called the issue of Palestine and holy Quds, a unifying topic in the world of Islam and said,” Gaza manifests the confrontation of the right and the void, it is the battle ground for the global arrogance and Zionism against the Islamic nation.”
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought noted that the Gaza war has turned into a landmark in the global relations of modern world and that any ignorance or silence towards issue of Palestine stands for an oppression against the objectives and future of Muslim world.
The top Iranian cleric urged for immediate lifting of the siege for flow of humanitarian aid and also opening of safe routes to send emergency aids to the Gaza Strip.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari expressed regret over the ineffective role of the UN Security Council in fulfilling its responsibilities in protecting the global peace and security and also an end to the war crimes by Israeli regime forces against the Palestinians in the blockaded territories.
He called on the Security Council member states to take measures to fulfill their responsibilities without political considerations, pass resolutions to prevent the brutal atrocities by the Zionist Israeli regime.
“We demand a fair investigation into the crimes committed before and after the operation al-Aqsa Storm, all of which amount to war crimes and genocide”, said the cleric and urged for prosecution of the criminals at the International Criminal Court.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the Yemeni nation and armed forces for their support of the Palestinians and condemned the US-UK strikes against the Arab country.
Senior Iranian scholar emphasized,” The only way for maintaining regional peace, security and stability is in ending Israeli occupation and atrocities against the Palestinian lands.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari lauded the nations across the globe and the Islamic countries who played an effective role in this awakening and reiterated more global support until achievements of the al-Aqsa operation objectives.
