“Martyr Soleimani, a warrior for all seasons”

Abdulkarim Jasem Karim, head of Iraqi consul in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad said: “The martyrdom story of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is a revolution in itself, which can be awakening”.

The event was held in the Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza shrine with martyrs’ families from Fatemiyoun Brigade (Afghan Shia guerrilla force) in attendance.

“The life of these two martyrs has great lessons for the youth. They were role models for ethics, and their friendship teaches a lesson to the future generations”, he said and called the Iranian counter-terrorism commander a courageous figure whose resistance and bravery embodied divine victory.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Gonabadi Nejad, Culture and Media Deputy of Fatemiyoun Brigade also talked in the gathering, “General Soleimani wasn’t merely an ordinary individual, rather, he was a school of thought for the public”.
According to the cleric the sacrifices made by General Soleimani made the Islamic countries to believe their capabilities and gave efficiency to the resistance front to fight the arrogant powers.

The conference entitled “Al-Quds Martyr” was held concurrent with the fourth martyrdom anniversary of the commander of Al-Quds Forces from Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

The top commander together with the deputy of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), Abu Mahdi Muhandis and a number of their companions were assassinated in a US attack on their convoy near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
