Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Mohammadreza Mortazavi, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) condemned nearly 80 days of Israeli regime crimes in Gaza calling on the world of Islam to join forces in support of the oppressed Palestinian nation in their fight against the occupying Israeli regime.

He said the international conference on “Al-Aqsa Flood and Awakening of Human Conscience” will begin on January 6 and a number of religious and political elites from across the world of Islam will attend the meeting.

According to the cleric the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought means to apply its decades of experience in using Islamic unity to resolve the crisis by one of the most criminal enemies of Islam.

He said,” Creating compassion and boosting solidarity among elites from across the world of Islam would stir more attention on oppression of the Palestinian nation in Muslim world and lead the global concerns to the issue of Palestine and boost the discourse of resistance.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mortazavi said some 150 elites and religious figures from different Islamic denominations will arrive from 73 countries for the upcoming one-day conference.

He expressed hope that the event will make a giant step in ending the crimes by Israeli regime and revival of the rights of Palestinian nation.
