Responding Israeli atrocities is a religious mandate
Sheikh Ahmad al Tayyeb, in a message addressing the Arab leaders attending Riyadh meeting on the issue of Palestine, called for an immediate action to end to genocide of the Palestinians, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He called for sending humanitarian aids for the Palestinians and, finding an immediate solution to end bloodshed of the civilians and an oppression beyond endurance.

The grand mufti of al-Azhar said,” We shake your hands and stand behind you and trust that you will maintain all your power, wisdom, experience and diplomacy to end the Zionist oppression against our countrymen in Palestine.”

Ahmad al-Tayyeb noted that responding the Arab leaders is a religious mandate and responsibility upon all people.

The message by senior Egyptian scholar was addressed to an extraordinary Arab-Islamic meeting hosted by Saudi Arabia.

The meeting comes more than a month after the Israeli escalation against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The brutal onslaught has so far left nearly 11,000 Palestinians dead and over 27,000 others wounded. More than 1.5 million people have also been internally displaced as the Israeli regime has blockaded the entire region.
