The custodian of Imam Reza shrine announced that the holy site will host a mourning ceremony on Wednesday October 18 in the wake of the Israeli brutal attack on al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital in Gaza City, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The holy shrine has hoisted black flags of mourning ahead of the gathering to be held a day after the attack.

People in the holy city of Mashhad held protest in earl hours of the attack chanting slogans against the relentless Israeli attacks against Palestinians.

Protesters in other Iranian cities also took to the streets midnight local time to vent anger at 11 days of killing Palestinians and the latest incident condemning that as “crime against humanity.” People in the capital Tehran gathered outside the UK and French embassy to denounce their decade-long support for Israeli atrocities against Palestinians and al-Quds.

Iranian government has announced Wednesday a day of public mourning across the country.

More than 700 people, both those injured from Israeli attacks and those seeking shelter at the health center, were killed in an Israeli attack on Tuesday night. Hundreds were injured in the unprecedented attack and dozens are still unaccounted for as rescue teams are searching for possible survivors.
