Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has offered condolences over the powerful quake that led to killing of thousands of people in Afghanistan.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his message called on the international organizations to assist the quake-stricken people in northern Herat, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families in Afghanistan who lost their beloved ones and expressed hope for speedy recovery of the injured in the incident.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari called on the world organizations and charity groups to spare no effort in assisting the quake-hit people in Afghanistan.
 
A powerful magnitude 6.3 quake in Afghanistan’s western city of Herat has left over 4,000 people dead and wounded. The office of Herat’s governor described as “huge losses” the damages caused by the Saturday tremor that jolted the region and adjoining areas.
