Turkish scholar: Knowing issue of brotherhood very important to understand Islam, global peace

I should express my thanks to you for inviting us to the 37^th International Unity Conference. World peace is a vitally important issue. In terms of the future of the Islamic world, the existence of peace is considered a strategic issue. I would like to thank Mr. Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought. May God bless him in his efforts in this regard and make him successful. In this report, I am trying to talk about the issue of Islamic brotherhood and extremist argumentation. Basically, the almighty God has declared Muslims as brothers to each other and has said that "believers are brothers of each other".
In order to understand Islam and the global peace, which has been highlighted by the almighty God, it is necessary to know that the issue of brotherhood is very important. If believers are not like brothers to each other, it will not be possible to argue in the path of righteousness. In the Holy Quran, the almighty God observes that Muslims should struggle in their lives and have solidarity with each other like the bricks of a wall. It is clear that the almighty God is emphasizing on the importance of Islamic brotherhood.
Islamic brotherhood is not merely an idealistic issue; rather, it is a reality that exists in the principles of Islamic belief and culture. Brotherhood of believers means closeness and proximity among them. It is an issue that is basically achieved due to the heartfelt acceptance of beliefs and principles. This brotherhood, i.e. Islamic brotherhood, is even more profound than the brotherhood which exists among the children of one parent. In the Holy Quran, it has been pointed out that the brotherhood of believers who have accepted the divine revelations and decrees and the Quran itself is greater than the brotherhood with someone who was born from the same womb but opposes the divine revelations and decrees and the Quran itself.
Mentally speaking, believing in commonalities and surrendering to common things are significantly important issues. This kind of brotherhood is emotional brotherhood. It means a brotherhood rooted in hearts and souls. This kind of brotherhood means that those living on earth should treat each other with kindness and respect; they should respect each other's rights; and even they should pay due attention to the rights of the earth and the heavens and all the creatures living there. Islamic brotherhood has all these features and characteristics. Islamic brotherhood is not just a slogan. Rather, it is an efficient and a practical phenomenon that covers all aspects of man’s life. Islamic brotherhood, in its genuine form, means trying to reform life.
Reform and reformation in the world are the basis of all religions, from that of the first to that of the last prophet sent by the almighty God. This is the principle of worship. The basis of worship is trying to improve and reform the earth. Of course, extremism and terrorism are major obstacles in this regard. Terrorism and extremism are the biggest obstacles on the way of those who are trying to introduce reform and reformation into the world. Terrorism is a hypocritical act. It is quite far from making any reforms in the world. Rather, it means creating corruption. It means disrupting any communication among people. Terrorism makes life impossible. In the Holy Quran, the almighty God says: “And even corruption occurs on the earth and the sky. And as corruption spreads, it covers heaven and earth.” For this reason, terrorism is deliberately organized and is a big sedition that is created by arrogant and hegemonic powers. It is the basis of policies of the US and the Zionist regime. They support, expand, and incite terrorism and attempt to create corruption on earth. This is the biggest obstacle that challenges the Islamic brotherhood. In fact, extremism and terrorism disturb the lives of individual human beings and undermine the balance in societies. It is a phenomenon that prevents societies from moving towards peaceful and prosperous lives.
From this perspective, Muslims on a global scale, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Turkey, and the entire Islamic world are victims of terrorism and extremism created by the Great Satan, i.e. the US, and the Zionist regime of Israel. Debate about terrorism and extremism is first of all associated with what terrorism and extremism means. If we know the true nature of terrorism and extremism, we can find out the proper approach to tackle with these phenomena. From this perspective, I should once again reiterate that the 37^th International Unity Conference is vitaly important event on a global scale. And wherever we are, we must work together for the success of this conference and unity congress. Again, I would like to thank the officials of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
