The thinker stated that there are principles which can be referred to as a unifying component or as factors preserving or strengthening unity among Muslims.

"The first principle is loving the Ahl-ul-Bait (peace be upon them). Undoubtedly, all Muslims of all Islamic faiths and all the Islamic schools of thought admit that loving the Ahl-ul-Bait (peace be upon them) is an undeniable principle. Loving the Ahl al-Bayt is one of the principles accepted in Islam, and there are frequent references to it in the Holy Quran."

Zarei Sabzevari went on to say, "Also, there are many more such traditions. A recourse to the words of Shia and Sunni dignitaries reveals that they have explicitly referred to and acknowledged loving Ahul-ul-Bait as a duty God Almighty assigned to Muslims."

"As you see, we have a principle called loving Ahl-ul-Bait, he stressed, which can be a component for unity or preserving unity among Muslims to strengthening unity among Muslims. This principle has been discussed by many forums.

The Islamic scholar underlined, "The second issue, which will become a unifying component or preserving or strengthening unity of Muslims, is ideological and jurisprudential principle. Undoubtedly, Muslims, either Sunnis or Shiias have many commonalties in ideological issues. They have many commonalties in jurisprudential issues as well. How nice it would be to have such commonalties in speeches, articles and books, thus introducing them to Muslims. Undoubtedly, such an action will prepare the ground for more unity and synergism of Muslims."
He referred to the third principle: "The third principle of unity and its preservation or strengthening is consolidation of relations among Islamic countries. Undoubtedly, the Ulima and thinkers should in likely conferences, in their articles and books, and in meetings they likely have with heads of Islamic state, encourage them to further expand relations with Islamic countries. The requisite for consolidation of relations among Islamic countries is unity of Islamic Ummah and Muslim nations, in fact minimizing factors of discord day by day."
The fourth principle, which can be effective in Muslims’ unity and its preservation or promotion, is encouraging and thanking those having a role in preserving, and strengthening unity among Muslims, the thinker stated.

Such steps can be very effective. How nice it would be if a section in this conference is dedicated to studying those have a role within the years in unity of Muslims and its preservation or strengthening.
