Mohammad Abdul Salam, head of the Ansarullah negotiation team, believes that the talks were successful and that they’ll lead to a political solution to the present crisis, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Al-Qhoom, from the political bureau of Ansarullah earlier said talks would focus on a full reopening of sea ports and Sanaa airport, reconstruction efforts, and also a timeline for withdrawal of foreign forces from Yemen, among others.

Yemeni negotiation team has stressed withdrawal of the foreign forces as a number of Yemeni islands are occupied by them turning the islands into military bases and airfields operated by UAE.

Ahmed Husseini, member of Ansarullah said,” There can be no peace before foreign military forces withdraw from Yemeni islands” and added,” If the occupation does not end, there will be no peace.”
The Saudi-Yemeni talks has raised hopes of a breakthrough in the quagmire conflict that has left hundreds of thousands of dead through direct military attack and indirect causes of hostilities like famine and diseases.
