A prominent Russian mufti has warned of the swift global developments in the 21st century and also the fading values held by the ancestors.

Speaking at the 3rd Regional Islamic Unity Conference held in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province, Mohammad Rahimov called all Muslims to unite before it is late, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He underlined the power of Muslims to stand against the west based on holy Qur’an.
 
Russian scholar expressed regret that Muslims are fighting among themselves urging them to protect their values namely solidarity.
 
Mohammad Rahomov warned of the smart phones used by the children and adolescents and said,” We should not let our religion to diminish by the cyber propaganda.
 
He referred to the Qibla (praying direction), holy Qur’an and the Almighty God as shared assets of all Muslims based on which they should boost their solidarity.
 
Russian scholar expressed his views at the 3rd Regional Islamic Unity Conference organized by World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought with the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values”.
 
Shia and Sunni scholars from Russia, Turkey, Syria, Georgia and Iraq attend the international conference scheduled to be held in the city of Urmia on August 9.
 
The second edition of the conference was held in the northern province of Golestan on proximity of Muslims and modern Islamic civilization in the second phase of the Islamic revolution.
 
The regional conferences are in line with the Islamic Unity Conference annually held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
