“Qadir, Axis for Islamic Unity” is the name of the new book by Jamkaran Mosque Publication in Iran’s holy city of Qom to detail the key event in the history of Islam and apply it in the Islamic society, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The author, Ali Asqar Rezvani, has endeavored to shed more light on the unifying aspects of Qadir event for the readers.
 
He alludes to the views by prominent Sunni scholars on Qadir event and highlight the unifying message of the historical event.
 
The book introduces the role and status of the infallible imam as well as the Qur’anic teachings find that Ahlul Bayt (AS) is possible when unity prevails in society.
 
Qadir Khum Event refers to a gathering of Muslims held at Qadir Khum located near the then settlement of al-Juhfa, between Mecca and Medina. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) gathered the pilgrims on the way back from Hajj in 632 CE to introduce Imam Ali (AS), his cousin and son-in-law as his successor and the next leader of the then Islamic society.
